Delete Your NutriLog AI Account
A complete guide to removing your account and data from NutriLog AI.
How to delete your account
- Open the NutriLog AI app and sign in.
- On the Home screen, tap your profile picture in the top-right corner (a person icon if you have no Google profile photo) to open Profile.
- Under Preferences, tap Privacy.
- Scroll to Danger Zone and tap Delete Account & Data.
- In the confirmation dialog, tap Delete Permanently.
- Your account and its data are erased immediately and you are signed out.
What data is deleted
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account and profile (name, email, Google account id and photo where you signed in with Google, goals and body metrics). We never store a password — sign-in is either Google Sign-In or a one-time code emailed to you.
- All meal logs and nutrition history
- Weight history
- Workout and exercise logs
- Fasting session history
- Steps, active energy, sleep and resting heart rate imported from Health Connect
- Water intake logs
- Custom foods and recipes you created
- Friend connections and friend requests, on both sides
- Challenges you created, and your membership in challenges others created
- Your product-analytics events (screen views and feature-usage events)
- Any subscription entitlement record stored on your account
- Your sign-in history (method, shortened network prefix and device browser string)
- Any devices registered to your account (model, operating system, locale, time zone)
- Internal support notes our staff wrote about your account
- Records of any AI request of yours that failed
Streaks, achievements and badges are not stored — they are recalculated from your logs each time you open the app, so they disappear with the logs they were computed from.
What data is kept
We do not keep a copy of your account or your logs after deletion. A few things are unaffected, and we would rather name them than let you find out later:
- Support conversations are anonymised, not destroyed. If you contacted support,
the thread stays but your email address is replaced with
[deleted]and it is no longer linked to any account. The replies our staff wrote are our own records of how we handled your request. - Our internal record of administrative actions. If a member of our staff acted on your account — for example deleting it at your request — that action stays in our internal log, including the email address it applied to, so that access to user data remains reviewable. It is not used for any other purpose.
- Subscription events. If you bought Pro, the record of what Google Play told us about each purchase (plan, order id, amount and expiry) is kept so a later refund or chargeback can be handled. Your account id is removed from it, and so is any note we wrote on it by hand; the Google Play order id stays, because that is how a refund is matched, so the record can be tied back to the purchase through Google Play but is no longer attached to any NutriLog AI account.
- Failed food searches. When a search returns almost nothing, we store the search text itself with a counter (for example "ragi dosa, 47 times") so we know which foods to add to the catalog. These rows carry no user id — there is nothing in them to trace back to you — and each one is deleted automatically 180 days after it was last searched for.
- Server logs. Short-lived operational logs kept by our hosting provider to run and secure the service.
Health Connect data
Deleting your NutriLog AI account does not delete data from Health Connect (Android's health and fitness platform). To remove Health Connect access:
- Open Health Connect on your Android device (Settings → Health & fitness → Health Connect on most devices).
- Open the list of connected apps and select NutriLog AI.
- Remove all of its permissions.
NutriLog AI only ever reads from Health Connect — it never writes records there, so there is nothing of ours to erase inside Health Connect itself. Removing permissions prevents any further reads, even if you sign back in.
Subscriptions
When you delete your account we also delete the Google Play purchase token and subscription status stored with it. The purchase events listed under What data is kept stay, detached from your account but still carrying their Google Play order id. Google keeps its own record of the purchase under your Google account; refunds are handled by Google (see our refund policy).
