The free AI calorie tracker
you can correct.

Counting calories shouldn't feel like a spreadsheet. NutriLog AI is a free calorie and macro tracker for Android that sets your targets from your own body, activity and goal — and when you photograph a meal it shows you the ingredients it found, so you can drop or correct any of them before it's logged. An estimate you can argue with beats a confident one you can't.

Logging, the food database and every calculator are free. Pro is optional — see what it adds below. Health Connect access is read-only.

How it works

Your plan exists before your first meal does.

Most trackers hand you a number and walk away. NutriLog AI starts with targets built around you — and keeps adjusting them as your weight moves.

  1. 1

    Answer a few questions

Age, height, weight, activity level and goal. A few short steps — you can do the whole thing before you create an account.

  2. 2

    AI builds your targets

Daily calories plus a protein, carb and fat split tuned to your body and your goal. If the AI is unavailable, a proven formula fills in — setup never fails.

  3. 3

    Log, in under a minute

Search, scan a barcode, or one-tap a meal you eat often. As your weight changes, your targets follow it in the background.

Calorie tracker features

Every tracking feature is free.

No trial timer, no locked core. Even the AI meal estimates are free, up to 5 credits per account — Pro lifts the cap, on an optional paid subscription.

Personalized daily targets

Your calorie and macro numbers are worked out from your own body, activity, goal and pace — not a generic 2,000. They update as your weight changes, and with AI Data Sharing on, AI refines them too, so the plan follows your progress instead of going stale.

A photo estimate you can correct

Most apps hand you either an unverified number or a confident one you can't argue with. Photograph the meal and NutriLog AI lists the ingredients it thinks it saw, with the calories each one contributes — drop the ones that aren't there, adjust the portions that are wrong, and the total follows before anything is logged. Five AI credits are free on every account.

Log food five ways

Search thousands of foods, scan a barcode, photograph the meal, save custom foods and recipes, or one-tap a meal you log all the time — the fastest path, and the one most people actually use.

Portions the size you actually serve

One katori is not the same number in every kitchen. Set your own katori and roti sizes once, and every Indian dish is counted in your portions instead of a global average — a katori off by a third is the difference between a deficit and a plateau.

Re-log yesterday in one tap

Most days you eat something you have eaten before. Your recent meals sit one tap from the dashboard, so breakfast goes in without a search, a scan or a single number typed. It is how most meals get logged here.

One dashboard

Calories left in one ring, macros as bars, plus water, steps, fiber, burn and your weight trend. Any past day is one tap away.

Water tracking

Log every glass against a daily hydration goal, with a tap.

Health Connect sync

Pulls the steps, active calories, exercise, sleep and heart rate your phone or watch already records. Read-only — NutriLog AI never writes to your health data.

Weight, trend and a realistic goal date

The trend graph smooths out daily noise. After a few weigh-ins, NutriLog AI projects when you'll reach your goal weight — and tells you honestly when there isn't enough data yet instead of guessing.

Steps, workouts & fasting

Log workouts and calories burned, and run intermittent fasting windows with a live timer and streaks.

Weekly & monthly reports

Zoom out from the daily grind — calorie trends, weight movement and how consistent you've actually been.

Achievements & streaks

Earn badges as your streak builds — small, visible wins for the days you actually showed up.

Gentle reminders

On-device nudges to log a meal, drink water or weigh in — so tracking becomes a habit rather than a chore.

Real screens

This is the actual app.

Captured on a phone, not drawn for a landing page — the same screens on the Play listing.

The NutriLog AI dashboard: calories left in a single ring with protein, carbs and fat as bars, plus water, steps and weight.
The Meal Logs screen, showing the ways to log a meal: AI photo scan, barcode, search, manual entry and recipes.
Food details for chicken breast, showing the full macro and micronutrient breakdown for the portion logged.
The dashboard scrolled to macro progress and the quick-action row.
The water tracker, showing 1,500 ml logged against a 2,500 ml daily goal.

Optional paid subscription

NutriLog AI Pro

AI meal estimates are already in the free app — 5 credits per account, shared across photo, dish-name and restaurant estimates. Pro removes that cap and adds a nutrition coach, targets that adapt to what you log, and your whole food log with a year of insights and monthly reports instead of 30 days.

Pro is purchasable in the app through Google Play. Your targets and their updates, logging, barcode scanning, water, weight, workouts, fasting, Health Connect sync, data export, and reports over your last 30 days are free and unlimited, with no ads.

  • Adaptive Target and Plateau Check
  • Your whole food log, with insights and monthly reports over the last year
  • Unlimited AI estimates (free: 5 credits)
  • The AI coach: chat, weekly review, meal suggestions and recovery tips

Privacy

Your data is yours, and leaving is one tap.

Sign in your way

Use your Google account, or a one-time code sent to your email. You can complete the whole setup before creating an account at all.

Delete everything, yourself

Account deletion lives in Privacy settings — no email, no support ticket, no waiting. You can also export your complete record to a file first.

AI sharing is a switch

AI features send the relevant part of your data to Google Gemini only while AI Data Sharing is on. Turn it off and the rest of the app keeps working.

Read-only health access

Six Health Connect read permissions, zero write permissions. We can see what your watch recorded; we can never change it.

Not medical advice. NutriLog AI targets and coaching are an estimate generated from the details you share — general wellness guidance, not medical advice. Please check with a doctor before starting a new diet or fitness plan, especially if you have a medical condition or are pregnant.

FAQ

Questions worth answering honestly.

Is NutriLog AI really free?

Yes. Your targets and their updates, logging, barcode scanning, water, weight, workouts, fasting, Health Connect sync, data export, and reports over your last 30 days are free and unlimited, with no ads. The AI meal estimates are free too, up to 5 credits per account. Pro is an optional paid subscription, bought through Google Play inside the app: it lifts that cap and adds the AI coach, the Adaptive Target and Plateau Check, and your whole food log with a year of insights and monthly reports.

Is there an iPhone version?

Not yet. NutriLog AI is Android-only right now — it's built around Google Play and Android Health Connect.

What does the AI actually do?

Three things. With AI Data Sharing on, it refines your daily calorie and macro targets at setup and as your weight changes — free and unlimited. It also estimates a meal from a photo, a dish name or a restaurant menu item, and shows you the ingredients it found so you can drop or correct any of them before it's logged. Every account gets 5 free AI credits shared across those. Pro lifts the cap and adds a coach you can chat with, on an optional paid subscription.

Do I need Health Connect?

No. It's optional. Connecting it means your steps, active calories, exercise, sleep and heart rate flow in automatically instead of being typed in.

Will reminders always arrive on time?

Usually, but not always. Reminders are scheduled on your device, and some Android makers aggressively stop background apps. If yours does, the app will point you at the setting that fixes it.

How is NutriLog AI different from apps like MyFitnessPal, Lose It or Cronometer?

Most trackers hand you an empty target and ask you to guess. NutriLog AI works out your daily calories and macros from your body, activity and goal, then updates them as your weight changes. It also shows the ingredients behind a photo estimate so you can correct it, rather than asking you to trust it. Barcode scanning, macros, reports and Health Connect sync are all free, and there are no ads. The trade-off is honest: we are Android-only, and our food database is younger than theirs.

Does NutriLog AI track macros as well as calories?

Yes. Protein, carbs and fat get their own targets and progress bars on the dashboard, alongside water, weight, steps, workouts and fasting windows.

How do I get the NutriLog AI app?

It's free on the Google Play Store — search for NutriLog AI on your Android phone, or open play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nutrilog.ai. Android 8.0 or newer.
